A good chunk of you played daily fantasy football this year, and I'd be willing to bet a significant portion of you have also tried out daily fantasy basketball and baseball. But hockey? Hockey?
It's time to give it a try over on FanDuel because it's a ton of fun.
Our analysis and projections can help you win. To help, let's take a look at some goalies, high-priced skaters, and lower-priced players to target for today's slate.
Goalie to Target
Jonathan Quick ($7,200): The Los Angeles Kings will face the St. Louis Blues on Thursday night. The risks are heavy here, but the Blues could easily put up 30-35+ shots at home against the Kings netminder. Quick could easily give up three or more goals, but suddenly, the veteran has two quality starts and two wins in a row. Los Angeles has begun to limit some of the wide-open chances in abundance. Joonas Korpisalo ($7.700) could be a good alternative against the Carolina Hurricanes if anyone feels a little leery on Quick.
High-Priced Skaters
Jack Eichel ($8,100): The center possesses a more than plus matchup against the New York Rangers on Thursday night. New York gives up the most shots and scoring chances per 60 in the league. What's worse is that their possession rates are now at 42% -- which is also dead last. It is as if New York retreats once a team gets the puck. As for the Buffalo Sabres center, he has 6 goals and 14 real-world points over ten games. The quirk is that Eichel has been more selective this year, averaging just 3.5 shots per game. Connor McDavid ($9,000) and Mika Zibanejad ($7,600) carry tons of intrigue and point potential on this slate.
Vladimir Tarasenko ($7,600): When does Tarasenko start to score a few more goals? Again, there is a more selective nature with the right-winger. He is averaging just 2.8 shots per contest, which is about three-fourths of a shot per game off from this time last season. However, the Blues forward has ten real-world points in nine games, to go with three goals. Tarasenko should have more than enough opportunities against Los Angeles on Thursday night. Leon Draisaitl ($8,300) is a major play, and Filip Forsberg ($7,500) is one to watch, provided he returns for the Nashville Predators.
Value Skaters
Denis Malgin ($3,600): There is something different about Malgin this year. He has three goals and three assists already. Also, Malgin averages two shots per game, nearly one block, and is seeing close to 16 minutes per game in the last two contests. The more second-line ice time Malgin sees, the more he seems to thrive. He enjoys a good matchup against Calgary's middle-six forwards which have not fared well in October. Nick Suzuki ($3,600) may see top-line ice time on Thursday for the Montreal Canadiens, due to the injury to Tomas Tatar.
Christian Dvorak ($3,800): The Arizona center scored again versus the Rangers on Tuesday as he continues to steadily improve his production. Dvorak has 15+ FanDuel points in three of his previous four starts. Also, the ice time has come up to more than 15 minutes per night. One concern was shot volume, but Dvorak did attempt six shots versus New York while three hit the net. Nick Bonino is a stat padder for Nashville who can at least fill some categories and rack up some points if he does not score.
