5 NHL FanDuel Values to Target on 3/10/20
Alex Killorn should be able to take advantage offensively with his new linemates. Who else can provide value tonight?

If you follow the NHL, you already know all of the top players. Obviously, when playing DFS, those players will come at a high cost. In this article, we are looking to find the cheaper value plays to help you afford the superstars

Vincent Trocheck, Center, Carolina Hurricanes

FanDuel Price: $4,700

In six games since being traded to the Carolina Hurricanes, Vincent Trocheck has struggled with just one goal. However, that goal was an overtime game-winning goal if there is any sort of silver lining. Tonight, he's going to center Martin Necas and Warren Foegele.

While the struggles are real for Trocheck, the matchup is as good as it gets. The Hurricanes visit the Detroit Red Wings, by far the worst team in the league. They're allowing a horrendous 3.71 goals against per game, so this is the perfect opportunity for Trocheck to get back on track.

Alex Killorn, Winger, Tampa Bay Lightning

FanDuel Price: $4,700

The Tampa Bay Lightning have switched up their lines and Alex Killorn has landed on the left-wing, opposite Nikita Kucherov, and they are being centered by Anthony Cirelli. They've got a road matchup against likely first-round playoff opponent, the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Killorn has been playing on the top power-play unit for much of this season and even with injuries to Steven Stamkos and Victor Hedman, the Lightning power play still has plenty of potent offensive players such as Kucherov, Killorn, Brayden Point, Tyler Johnson and Mikhail Sergachev.

Calle Jarnkrok, Winger, Nashville Predators

FanDuel Price: $3,200

Admittedly, Calle Jarnkrok is not much of an offensive threat. However, his 33 points in 63 games this season would just slightly put him on pace for his best career season in not only points, but goals. In addition, his shot volume has increased, as well, with his shooting percentage slightly below his career average.

Jarnkrok is on the third line at even strength but plays a role on the Nashville Predators' not-so-great power play. The Montreal Canadiens have allowed at least four goals in four of their last six games, which makes this an intriguing night to roll with the Predators' offense.

Miro Heiskanen, Defense, Dallas Stars

FanDuel Price: $4,300

Miro Heiskanen is the top point-per-dollar defenseman on the slate, as per our projections. Heiskanen has matched his rookie point total of 33 points in just 67 games this season — a total that required all 82 games last year. His goals are sitting at 8 right now compared to 12 last season, so he is unlikely to surpass that.

Heiskanen and John Klingberg have flip-flopped between who is quarterbacking the top power-play unit throughout the season, and while Heiskanen finds himself on the second unit right now, there is still plenty of upside here.

Morgan Rielly, Defense, Toronto Maple Leafs

FanDuel Price: $4,800

They may ease Morgan Rielly back into his role on the Toronto Maple Leafs, as he returns after a 23-game absence tonight. However, if he's ready to go, there is little reason outside of his conditioning to hold him back from his number one role on the Leafs' backend.

While Tyson Barrie was playing on the top power-play unit before Rielly's injury, I would expect Rielly to get that spot back tonight, as the Leafs are in dire need to win games -- 27 points in 46 games are a far cry from the 72 in 82 last season. It doesn't matter too much what he did earlier in the season, and we only care about what he does tonight and moving forward. He's far too cheap for his potential upside.
