4 NHL FanDuel Value Plays to Target on Tuesday 3/29/22

Spending lower in any daily fantasy lineup is a way to incorporate some diversity into your roster. In NHL DFS, there is typically more value in this strategy -- but also a good deal of risk, too. The right low-salary plays can give you good production while affording you more chances to roster high-salary studs.

Tuesday night grants us nine games. It is time to target some plays that save a little salary.

Jack Roslovic, Center, Columbus Blue Jackets

FanDuel Salary: $4,000

The good news for the Columbus Blue Jackets is that Jack Roslovic is starting to play better again. Even better, Columbus faces a New York Islanders team that has had the air taken out of its sails.

The injury to Ilya Sorokin is ominous, to say the least, and he may not be in goal tonight for the Islanders.

Roslovic has two goals and four assists in his last seven games with a decent floor. He is averaging just over two shots per game and nearly a blocked shot per night.

This is a pretty good spot for Columbus and Roslovic on Tuesday night.

Frank Vatrano, Wing, New York Rangers

FanDuel Salary: $4,200

Frank Vatrano has one job. Score goals and generate some offense from a middle-six standpoint.

Consider that mission accomplished for the new New York Rangers winger so far.

There are still some questions but Vatrano has three goals on six shots and nine scoring chances in the last two games. Against Pittsburgh, in their last meeting, Vatrano had several quality chances and a goal.

Vatrano plays the game one way -- with speed. There is this idea that one needs a burner with jets for playoff runs.

Though New York on the road is somewhat of a risk, Vatrano's salary is just enticing enough.

Artem Zub, Defenseman, Ottawa Senators

FanDuel Salary: $3,900

The Ottawa Senators play with a heavy heart tonight. The passing of Eugene Melnyk, while not necessarily sudden, is significant here.

What may be more significant is that Artem Zub is starting to string a few games together of solid production. That is encouraging.

Seeing multiple shots per game is encouraging and seeing blocked shots is a good thing as well. Real-world points on consecutive games shows that there is potential from a value standpoint.

There is one other alternative in Callan Foote at just $3,600.

Anton Forsberg, Goalie, Ottawa Senators

FanDuel Salary: $7,000

Yes, this appears nuts! Anton Forsberg is playing well lately for Ottawa and his salary-point is a bit low even for Tuesday night.

Overall, Forsberg has three quality starts in his last four games with 20+ FanDuel points in each contest. That includes a herculean effort against Florida where he stopped 46 shots in a 3-2 defeat.

With Ottawa just given a 34.7% chance of winning, maybe this is worth at least a look.

The Ottawa goaltender has seen 166 shots in his last five starts (33.2 per game). That is a high number.

His value is in his save count which could easily approach 30 or even 35 on Tuesday night.
