3 Daily Fantasy NHL Stacks for Friday 4/1/22

In daily fantasy hockey, stacking is a key strategy in tournaments. We want to correlate our lineups with up to four players to maximize our upside -- if one player on a line is scoring goals, it's likely that his linemates are getting assists, as well.

Ideally, we want players who will get a lot of ice time together on an even-strength line and a power-play line. Two good resources for line combinations are LeftWingLock.com and DailyFaceoff.com, so be sure to check those sites for updated line information.

There are seven games on Friday night, and it makes for a nice slate to find some stacks we can use.

Tampa Bay Lightning

The Tampa Bay Lightning found themselves in a rare slump but have turned things around. They had lost six out of eight games before their recent three-game winning streak. They'll look to continue that streak in a great matchup tonight.

The good news for fantasy players is that Tampa has now loaded up one line. The Nikita Kucherov ($9,200) and Brayden Point ($7,800) line will now also have Steven Stamkos ($8,400) on it.

These three lead the team in points per game. Stamkos has the best recent form, with 10 points in his last 10 games. Kucherov had three assists and Point had a goal and an assist on Tuesday against a tough Carolina Hurricanes team. These guys will all link up on the top power play, as well.

The Lightning will face the Chicago Blackhawks tonight. The 'Hawks just played the Florida Panthers last night, losing 4-0 and allowing 20 high-danger chances. Chicago has now lost three games in a row and allowed 15 goals over this span.

This is a perfect get-right spot for Tampa's offense. They are expected to do just that, with an implied team total of 4.16 goals tonight. Victor Hedman ($7,000) is also a great addition to this stack, as the defenseman has 19 goals on the season.

Nashville Predators

The Nashville Predators wouldn't normally be considered one of the most exciting offensive teams. However, they are 11th in goals per game. More importantly for our purposes, they have some of the best fantasy players in the game today.

The Preds' first line contains two of the top-11 goal scorers in the league. Filip Forsberg ($8,200) and Matt Duchene ($7,100) have each set career highs in goals with 37 and 35, respectively. Mikael Granlund ($4,500) is a great setup man for these two, with 41 assists on the season.

We can't talk about a Nashville stack without mentioning Roman Josi ($7,100), too. The defenseman is 10th in scoring and had the most points of any player in March.

Nashville takes on the Buffalo Sabres on Friday. Buffalo has really struggled defensively, allowing the fifth-most shots and seventh-most goals per game. They also have the seventh-worst penalty kill in the league, which doesn't bode well against Nashville's dynamic power play.

The Predators' implied team total trails only the Lightning's on tonight's slate, so they are certainly a good stacking option.

Detroit Red Wings

We've got one of these games that you see at the end of the season between two teams that have nothing to play for.

The Detroit Red Wings could benefit from one of these chaotic games we've often seen them play this season. It should give their stack the upside we need to consider rostering them tonight.

The Wings have put together the three players for a clean stack. Dylan Larkin ($8,000) is on pace for a career year in both goals and points. Tyler Bertuzzi ($7,900) has already set career highs in both of those categories and leads the team in goals per game. Rookie Lucas Raymond ($5,500) has been impressive all season, now hitting both 20 goals and 50 points.

This line has full correlation on the top power play, as well.

Detroit goes up against the Ottawa Senators tonight. Ottawa is a great team to stack against, as are bottom five in shot attempts against, expected goals against, and scoring chances against on a per 60-minute basis. They also continue to be without Thomas Chabot, who is by far their best defenseman.

Detroit's implied team total is the fourth-highest on the slate. The clean correlation makes them a fun stack to use in this matchup.
