If you have played daily fantasy sports for a while, you know the importance of being contrarian in large-field tournaments. Recognizing which players are going to be owned by the masses and finding others who you think have a similar point projection but will come at much lower ownership can really separate yourself from your opponents.
The same goes for DFS Premier League. Even though the large-field tournaments aren't quite as large as they are for other sports, there is still value in identifying quality under-the-radar plays.
This article will discuss FanDuel's main Saturday slate, which starts at 10:00 a.m. EST and features six matches.

Crystal Palace at Huddersfield |
Arsenal at Newcastle |
Cardiff at Chelsea |
Fulham at Manchester City |
Manchester United at Watford |
The fifth main slate of the year features four elite sides, the most of any slate so far this season. Arsenal and Manchester United are both favored by 0.5 goals on the road against Newcastle and Watford, respectively. Chelsea are 2-goal home favorites against Cardiff, while Manchester City is the largest favorite on the slate, with a spread of 2.5 goals at home against Fulham. With four elite sides in action, there is a wide range of expensive options available, which should lead to higher ownership on the value plays that will be needed to fit them into lineups. That could lower ownership on mid-range options, as they go overlooked in favor of players above and below their price range.
With that in mind, here are three players to consider -- especially for tournament formats -- this weekend.
