As is the case when playing any sport on FanDuel, it’s imperative to hit on high-priced studs, the players in which you’ve made the biggest investment. This is especially true with forwards in soccer. Not only are the top-end forwards expensive, they are the ones most likely to put the ball in the back of the net, and goals are often the difference between winning and losing in DFS.
Let’s take a look at some high-priced players -- all across the pitch -- who, despite costing a good chunk of change, are worth the investment.
This article is geared toward FanDuel's main slate, which begins at 10:00 a.m. EST Saturday and features seven matches.

It's our first seven-match slate of the year, and it's a dandy. Four of the top-six are involved, with Liverpool and Manchester United playing at home, and you'll have many avenues to take with lineup construction. Liverpool and Manchester City top the slate as 2.0-goal favorites, with City (84.7%) narrowly edging the Reds (82.0%) in terms on implied win odds, per Betfair. Manchester United are 1.0-goal favorites with implied win odds of 62.5%, which barely bests Leicester (61.0%) for the third-best implied win odds on the slate.
As always, you'll need to check starting lineups, but it's even more imperative this week on the back of midweek Champions League play for City, United, Spurs and Liverpool.
Let's get to it.
