4 FanDuel Premier League Players to Avoid in Matchweek 6
Alexis Sanchez has struggled to place shots on target this season. What other players should we avoid for Matchweek 6?

Christian Eriksen, Midfielder, Tottenham

Salary: $9,500

Eriksen is tied with two other players as the fifth-highest priced midfielder on the slate, and he has averaged 18.52 FanDuel points through five matches. Eriksen has the second-lowest average among the midfielders priced $9,500 or above, as his highest FanDuel performance is 23.9 points.

The Spurs have a 57.9% win probability, according to Paddy Power, and the match has a 57.9% chance of scoring over 2.5 goals, while Eriksen’s anytime goal scoring odds are 27.8%.

Despite scoring in Tuesday’s Champions League fixture against Inter Milan, Eriksen has yet to find the back of the net in the Premier League this season while totaling six shots on target and 15 shots overall. The Seagulls have allowed the seventh-most shots (1.6) per 90 minutes to midfielders/attacking-midfielders this season but have been stingy in the categories Eriksen has performed the best in. They have allowed the sixth-fewest chances created (0.87) and second-fewest crosses (1.38) per 90 minutes this season.

Eriksen has played a full 90 minutes in all five matches this season and does offer an excellent floor for cash games, but so far this season he has proven to show limited upside – which does not bode well for large-field tournaments, and that limitation will likely continue if he is unable to find the back of the net.
