The second legs of the first games from the round of 16 take place this week as the group winners go home to finish out the tie. There are certain situations for each game based on what happened in the first legs that will dictate how each team will play in these games. So keep that in mind when building our lineups this week.
Forwards to Target
Neymar ($12,600): Neymar did his thing in the first leg, scoring a goal with six shots and four crosses. He took all three corner kicks in that game, as well. Paris Saint-Germain lost that one, 2-1, but they got the crucial away goal to keep them alive in the tie. In this game, PSG are -140 favorites, according to EPL odds. Neymar is a -115 favorite to score at anytime. Adding that to his considerable floor generated from shots, crosses and fouls drawn makes him a viable play even at this expensive price tag.
Timo Werner ($8,900): Werner is having an incredible season in the Bundesliga, with 21 goals in 25 appearances. He's added four goals in seven Champions League games, including the lone goal in the first leg between these two clubs. Tottenham are a banged-up side and have failed to win in their last five games in all competitions. This makes Rassenballsport Leipzig a pretty large favorite (-190). Werner himself is a -195 favorite to score at anytime, the best odds on the slate. Tottenham are down 1-0 and need at least one away goal, so they are likely to push forward. This could suit Werner's strengths, as he is a pacey striker who loves to score on the counter attack.
Thorgan Hazard ($5,200): Hazard is a value play at the forward position. He scored a goal on Saturday, his fifth in the league this season. He has also added 10 assists in the Bundesliga. His value comes from his peripheral stats, however, as he averages over five crosses in the league this season, according to Rotowire. He takes a share of corners for Borussia Dortmund and also averages over two chances created per 90. His floor is what gives him value, as most players around this price range are dependent on goals. Hazard also has upside for goals and assists, making him a fine play at $5,200.
Midfielders to Target
Alejandro Gomez ($9,300): Gomez has been a fantastic accumulator of stats in the Champions League. He is this year's version of Hakim Ziyech, a player who has introduced himself to the daily fantasy soccer scene through great performances in the Champions League on a team most people probably don't pay close attention to on a weekly basis. He had six crosses and an assist in the first leg between these two teams, and Atalanta won 4-1. Atalanta are still the highest-scoring team in Serie A this season by 10 goals, and that's with having played one fewer game than the second-highest scoring team (Lazio). After a 4-1 result in the first leg, Atalanta's dangerous attack will be in full force again, and Gomez will spearhead it. He has a high floor through crossing and could contribute to multiple goals.
Christopher Nkunku ($6,100): Nkunku is having a breakout season for RB Leipzig. In a game against Schalke on February 22nd, he had a whopping four assists. Overall, he has 12 assists in the Bundesliga in 23 appearances. He's creating over four chances per 90 minutes in the league. Nkunku is sharing corner-kick duty, as well, giving him a good floor to go with his assist upside. With all this going for him, $6,100 is way too cheap of a price, especially in this match as he is a home favorite. If Leipzig are able to score multiple goals, Nkunku could easily set up at least one of them, paying off his price and then some.
Giovani Lo Celso ($4,700): Lo Celso is sort of the last man standing for Tottenham. With Harry Kane and Son Heung-min out injured and Christian Eriksen no longer on the team, Lo Celso is the one responsible for taking corners. He did so in the first match between these two teams, taking all six and racking up eight crosses in total. He's continued to take corners in Spurs recent domestic matches. Tottenham will need to push forward if they are to win this tie, and Lo Celso should have more attacking duties with the team lacking options. For just $4,700, he's another great value play on the slate.
Defenders to Target
Trent Alexander-Arnold ($7,300): It's obligatory for me to write about Trent Alexander-Arnold nearly every time he is on the slate. That's because he leads the Premier League in crosses by a margin of 69. He also plays defender and is priced down because of it. In the first leg of this tie against Atletico Madrid, Alexander-Arnold had 16 crosses. This could be a game where Atletico try to hold on for dear life to their one-goal advantage while Liverpool throw everything at them. That's how TAA racked up so many crosses in the first leg, so it's not too hard to imagine it happening here. Liverpool are -102 favorites to keep a clean sheet, as well, which gives Alexander-Arnold a decent shot at the three-point clean-sheet bonus.
Angelino: ($6,000): Angelino is a different player since joining RB Leipzig on loan from Manchester City. He's playing as a wing-back rather than a full-back and pushing further forward in an attacking role. He's averaging over six crosses per game in five Bundesliga starts for his new club. He's also splitting the corner kicks for Leipzig. Since Tottenham is lacking an attacking threat, a clean sheet bonus is definitely a possibility. If you can't quite afford Trent Alexander-Arnold, Angelino is not a bad alternative.
Raphael Guerreiro ($4,200): Guerreiro is listed as a defender on DraftKings but has really been more of a midfielder this season for Dortmund. He has scored five goals and added two assists in the league this season. He also gets some share of corner kicks and gets his fair share of crosses into the box. You won't find a better attacking threat at the defender position for this price, making Guerreiro a good punt option.
Goalkeepers to Target
Adrian ($5,700): Adrian comes in at a slight discount as he takes over for the injured Alisson. Liverpool are -180 home favorites over Atletico Madrid, so Adrian has a great chance for a win. Atletico have not been dangerous in attack this season, having scored the ninth-fewest goals in La Liga. Given that and the fact that they are likely to sit back and try to protect the lead, Atleti shouldn't be too much of a threat for Liverpool. This makes Adrian a pretty safe play at goalkeeper.
Peter Gulacsi ($5,400): Gulacsi was excellent in the first leg against Tottenham, stopping all five shots he faced. Now going back for the home leg, RB Leipzig are the biggest favorites on the slate at -190. As we discussed previously, many of Tottenham's attacking threats are injured. This should give Gulacsi a good chance of getting another win and clean sheet, as he did in the previous game.
