NHL Daily Fantasy Helper: Thursday 12/1/16
A good chunk of you probably already play daily fantasy football, and I'd be willing to bet a significant portion have also tried out daily fantasy basketball and baseball. But hockey? Hockey?
It's time to give it a try over on FanDuel.com because it's a ton of fun. And our analysis and projections can help you win.
To help, take a look at some goalies, high-priced skaters and lower-priced players to target for today's slate.
Goalie to Target
Matt Murray ($8,900)/Marc-Andre Fleury ($8,700): The Pittsburgh Penguins haven't announced their starter yet for tonight, but whoever gets the nod -- Murray or Fleury -- is a strong play, with the slight gap in salary making up for their difference in abilities in a spot where the matchup is what really makes them a strong play. (To find who is starting closer to puck drop, check out DailyFaceoff). The Penguins are the second-biggest favorites of the night (-175 on the moneyline) as they take on the Dallas Stars. The Stars and Penguins both play at a pretty high pace, ranking in the top half of the league in both Corsi For and Corsi Against per game. The Penguins rank 10th in Corsi For Percentage compared to 23rd for Dallas, and while Pittsburgh should be able to control the puck in this one (part of why they're favored by so much), they are also likely to face a high number of shots, giving their goalie some great upside from a potential high save total.
