NHL Daily Fantasy Helper: Thursday 5/3/2018
A good chunk of you probably already play daily fantasy football, and I'd be willing to bet a significant portion have also tried out daily fantasy basketball and baseball. But hockey? Hockey?
It's time to give it a try over on FanDuel, because it's a ton of fun. And our analysis and projections can help you win.
To help, take a look at some goalies, high-priced skaters, and lower-priced players to target for today's two-game slate.
Goalie to Target
Matt Murray ($8,400): So far, the Pittsburgh Penguins have not quite looked like themselves against the Washington Capitals. Goaltending is risky tonight (tournament or cash). Pittsburgh responds well when down in a series and has been down 2-1 to Washington before. Our models project Murray to have the best chance of a win among all goalies in action. Unlike last night, a shutout is much less likely. Murray's performance has been average so far (2.48 goals against average and .906 save percentage). That translate into mostly low- and mid-event games when it comes to actual shots on net. This is high risk. However, Murray's save percentage from game 4 on in the last three postseasons is tops in the league. Connor Hellebuyck is $400 cheaper tonight, but the risk of him allowing three or more goals again is very realistic.
