FanDuel is offering League of Legends daily fantasy, and look, if you don't know what that is, it's okay.
I have you covered with a detailed but straightforward primer to get you all set up, whether you're a DFS player looking to dig into the new sport, or a League of Legends fan ready to take your action over to FanDuel.
The LCS Summer Split is officially here, and the official schedule is here, which will show you each week they will have two games on Fridays, four on Saturdays, and four on Sundays. All matches are a single game, not a best-of-three series. This slate locks on Friday, July 24th at 9 p.m. EST.
Evil Geniuses versus Immortals
Evil Geniuses went 1-1 last week but more importantly, they announced that Goldenglue ($9,000) -- who was recently signed -- will remain the starter for the rest of the Summer Split. They are currently sitting in fourth place (6-6) and will look to grab their first 2-0 week since Week 1. On the other hand, Immortals (3-9) are tied for the worst record in the LCS but are starting to turn things around.
Bang ($10,200) is by far the best player for EG, and if you are stacking them -- you should be -- he is the player you should be aiming to have in your lineups. He comes in with 25 FanDuel points or more in four of his last five games and has two deaths or fewer in three of those five games.
Huni ($8,100) started both games last weekend, and while no final statement has been made whether he will be the top laner for the rest of the Summer Split, it appears he will start ahead of Kumo ($7,900). If there are any updates on the starters, they will be here. Huni only has the two games played this split, so there's not much to draw from, but he is a viable addition to a stack.
Looking to Zeyzal ($7,900) would also be a solid option for a stack since he is a bit cheaper compared to Svenskeren ($8,800), who can be a bit of a volatile player with his production.
Immortals changed their entire starting lineup four weeks ago and have gone 2-6 since then. Those two wins have come over their last three games, which I guess is their best stretch of the split? It has to be, since it accounts for 66% of their total wins. EG are the better team -- let's be clear about that -- but the Immortals clearly have some fight still in them.
The Bot-Lane duo of Apollo ($9,500) and Hakuho ($7,200) have looked strong recently and could be the spot to start an Immortals stack if you are aiming for a less popular option. Apollo has 24 FanDuel points or more in each of his last three games, while Hakuho has 19 FanDuel points in two of his last three.
You can also look to add Insanity ($8,200) to an Immortals' stack, since he has posted 22, 33, and 28 FanDuel points in his last three games.
Team Liquid versus FlyQuest
Team Liquid (10-2) are looking like a well-oiled machine right now, coming in on a seven-game winning and now tied for the best record in the league. FlyQuest (6-6) have lost four of their last six games, erasing the strong start they had.
Staring a lineup with a stack from Team Liquid is shaping up to be one of the more popular options on this slate and you should be willing to eat that chalk. When looking at all of the players in the LCS for highest Kill/Death/Assist (KDA), we see Tactical ($9.800), CoreJJ ($7,500), Jensen ($8,600), and Broxah ($8,300) coming in at the 4th, 5th, 6th, and 7th highest. They have four of their five players in the top 10, which is something no other team can matchup.
It should go without saying, but I'll mention it anyway: if you have the salary to stack three or all four of these players, you should be doing so. It's really that simple.
For FlyQuest, they are by no means a bad team but are just struggling right now, and given how strong Team Liquid look, they might be fighting an uphill battle from the start. PowerOfEvil ($7,900) is the cheapest mid-laner on the slate and has looked terrible in recent games, but he's flashed a ceiling of 48 FanDuel points earlier in the split. He is much better than he is currently showing and is one of the few options you would roster from FlyQuest.
WildTurtle ($8,700) played both games last weekend for FlyQuest after riding the bench since June 22nd. They lost both games last weekend, so if they decide to go back to MasH ($8,500) as the starting ADC, it wouldn't be that much of a surprise.
