4 Under-the-Radar Daily Fantasy Baseball Plays for 8/31/16
A pair of Royals profile as quality contrarian plays on Wednesday. What other players are good under-the-radar options?

Kendrys Morales, 1B, Kansas City Royals

FanDuel Price: $3,000

Why He Will Go Overlooked:

There are a few main slate options that seem ripe for big nights. Brandon Moss faces Matt Garza at Miller Park, and Freddie Freeman will look to continue his assault on right-handed pitching as he takes on Paul Clemens at home. Kendrys Morales is the 18th-most expensive first baseman, and he's unlikely to draw much attention.

Why You Should Use Him:

Luis Cessa boasts an unblemished 4-0 record, but a closer look reveals some unsustainable numbers. With a 4.34 SIERA, Cessa has been fairly mediocre, and he is being helped by an unsustainable 89.3% strand rate.

In looking at Morales recent play, he's put up only two double-digit scoring efforts over his last 10 contests, but don't let that keep you away from rostering him. In the last 14 days, Morales has the third-best hard-hit rate in all of baseball at 55.9%.

Cessa is allowing hard contact to lefties at a robust clip of 35.1%. Given all of these factors and the low price point, Morales makes for a great under-the-radar play.
