4 Under-the-Radar FanDuel MLB Plays for 9/5/16
Ian Desmond has started heating back up, and he has a great matchup Monday. What other plays may fly under the radar?

Jefry Marte, 3B, Los Angeles Angels

FanDuel Price: $3,000

Why He Will Go Overlooked:

With a Coors slate plus a white-hot Anthony Rendon taking hacks against Ryan Weber, the majority of the main slate will have ownership of those three third basemen, allowing Jefry Marte to go underowned.

Why You Should Use Him:

Marte has been an absolute beast as of late, averaging 18 fantasy points per game over his six contests.

Marte and the Angels will face Raul Alcantara, who was called up from Triple-A for this start. Alcantara doesn't strike out a ton of hitters, as his highest strikeout rate was 20.2% in 2013 in High-A ball.

While Alcantara was virtually untouched in Triple-A this season over 45.2 innings pitched (1.18 earned run average, 1 home run allowed), he was not so lucky in Double-A over 90 innings pitched (4.80 ERA, 11 home runs allowed).

Marte makes for a strong tournament play given his recent run of production and the expected heavy usage of Nolan Arenado, Eduardo Nunez, and Rendon.
