Best Pick: Trea Turner
The Washington Nationals' rookie burst onto the scene last year, and in only 324 plate appearances, ripped off 33 steals (eighth-best in basically half a season) while socking 13 home runs. Just last week in the 15-team mixed LABR draft, Turner went 10th overall, so his slide to 16th represents first-round value at a discount. Across two levels last season, Turner stole 58 bags -- if repeated, that could put you in a great position to win the category.
Not only is Turner a stud across the board, but he is set to add shortstop eligibility this season. Already rocking second base and outfield eligibility, Turner stands to add a third position to his portfolio, making him that much more valuable.
Also, it's worth mentioning Giancarlo Stanton coming off the board 18th. In NFBC drafts, Stanton is being taken 38th overall, so he went way before his normal draft range. After playing 145 games and launching 37 jacks in 2014, Stanton has averaged 97 games and 27 bombs over the past two years.
His power potential is as tantalizing as ever, though, and he is still just 27 years old. As our draft shows, Stanton is going to be a wild card in drafts this spring, and if you want him, you may have to pounce a little earlier than anticipated.
