Fantasy Baseball: 10 Starting Pitchers Expected to See an Increase in Production
According to our projections, which starting pitchers are expected to see a boost in their fantasy value during the 2017 season?

Yu Darvish, Texas Rangers

2016 nF Score: 0.88

2017 Projected nF Score: 4.97

Projected Boost: 4.09

Year IP W K BB ERA WHIP
2016 100.1 7 132 31 3.41 1.12
2017 (Projected) 192 12 230 61 3.53 1.17

After missing about a season and a half due to Tommy John surgery, Yu Darvish returned and produced pretty much the same way he did before he got hurt.

Actually, he was a little better -- while his 11.84 K/9 was the second-highest of his career, his 2.78 BB/9 was the lowest it's ever been. In addition to that, he also induced the most soft contact in his career, which settled in at 22.8% in 2016.

Now that he's proved his health, he looks to regain his ace status with a full season of innings ahead.

Current Fantasy Draft Information:

Darvish is still being drafted as a top-10 pitcher, but he could easily outperform that based on his strikeout upside alone.
