Why He Will Go Overlooked:
With studs Charlie Blackmon and Carlos Gonzalez manning two of the Colorado Rockies' three outfield slots and star-in-the-making David Dahl ready to man left field, Gerardo Parra was all set to be a forgotten. But Dahl suffered a preseason injury, so Parra is set for extending playing time, giving him a chance to be a DFS producer as part of one of the game's best offenses. A deep outfield player pool on a 12-game slate should help keep his ownership down.
Why You Should Use Him:
Parra is taking advantage of his chance. Over the first two games, he's gone 4-for-7 with 4 RBI and a double.
He's got a juicy matchup tonight against Wily Peralta of the Milwaukee Brewers. Not only does Peralta struggle with command -- as 39.7% of his pitchers in 2016 were balls -- he was horrific versus left-handed bats last season. In 62 2/3 innings pitched against lefties, southpaws mashed him for 29 extra base hits and a .374 wOBA.
Parra makes for a cheap option in a great park for lefty power.
