Andrew Toles opened the season hitting leadoff against righties for the Los Angeles Dodgers, and we project him to play that role again today against Trevor Cahill and the San Diego Padres.

Cahill pitched in 50 games for the Chicago Cubs last season, pairing a strong 2.74 ERA with a much less impressive 3.93 SIERA after having posted an ERA above 5.00 in both 2014 and 2015.

He gave up a 35.5% hard-hit rate and had a 4.74 xFIP against left-handed hitters in that 2016 season. With Toles sporting a .373 wOBA and 31.6% hard-hit rate through 107 career plate appearances against right-handed pitching, he's a good bet to return nice value for only $100 more than the minimum salary.
