Ranking Roberto Clemente's 5 Best MLB Seasons
Was his 1966 NL MVP campaign really his greatest?

3. 1969

The very next season, Clemente outplayed his previous one. On offense, he put up higher numbers all across the board -- his 91 RBI were the third-highest total of his career and his 19 home runs helped to create a 163 wRC+, second only to Clemente's all-time personal best of 170.

His wOBA of .418 also tied a previous career high as Clemente got on base more than two out of every five at-bats (.411). That year, his WAR rose to 7.0.

And, keeping with the status quo, Clemente won a Gold Glove and appeared in the All-Star game.
