5 Daily Fantasy Baseball Players to Avoid on 4/18/17
Despite his hot start, don't take your chances with Jimmy Nelson in daily fantasy today. Who else should you avoid on a full Tuesday slate?

Nomar Mazara, OF, Texas Rangers

FanDuel Price: $3,900

Andrew Triggs is a relative unknown for many fantasy players, but he's not someone to pick on with the Texas Rangers today.

In 56.1 innings last year (including six starts), Triggs had a solid 23.1% strikeout rate and 5.5% walk rate. He exhibited a high strikeout rate in the minors, so it doesn't look to be a fluke.

He also had a positive batted-ball profile against major league hitting, evidenced by a 50.9% ground-ball rate and 26.9% hard-hit rate.

On top of all this, today's game is being played in pitcher-friendly Oakland Coliseum. Early weather reports show the wind blowing out a bit, but Triggs' high ground-ball rate should make that less of a factor.

The sample size is still small, so we don't know exactly how good he will be this season, but there is enough evidence to stay away from the pricey Nomar Mazara and other Rangers today.
