FanDuel Price: $2,400
Why He Will Go Overlooked:
Freddie Freeman has been on a tear recently -- he's not only averaging 16.32 FanDuel points per game, but he's gone for double-digit FanDuel points in five of his last six contests, including a 52.9-point showing on Monday.
Philadelphia Phillies first baseman Tommy Joseph has started the year off in a bit of a struggle -- he's only hitting .175 with just one homer. Coming off a 2016 season where he ripped 21 homers over 347 plate appearances for a 113 wRC+, there's some potential upside here.
Why You Should Use Him:
It's not all gloom and doom for Joseph, and he's got a great matchup tonight against New York Mets starter Robert Gsellman.
Gsellman has gotten hammered so far in 2017 -- he's given up a 40.6% hard-hit rate on the year, and the damage is being done by right-handed hitters. He's faced 28 total batters in this situation, and they're mashing to the tune of a .526 wOBA, compared to a .182 wOBA for left-handed hitters.
Joseph is looking to get back on track, and Gsellman may be what he needs to get there.
