4 Daily Fantasy Baseball Players to Avoid on 5/1/17
Julio Teheran may have a 3.38 ERA, but his peripheral stats suggest some regression is on the way. Who else should you avoid in Monday's daily fantasy baseball contests?

Christian Yelich, OF, Miami Marlins

FanDuel Price: $3,700

Jake Odorizzi hasn't had a particularly strong season so far, carrying a 4.71 SIERA and lowly 15.4% strikeout rate. However, he's only pitched 13 innings, and is coming off the disabled list to make his first start since April 15th.

Should you choose to attack him, though, stick with right-handed bats. Odorizzi is the rare reverse-splits pitcher, so while the strikeouts haven't materialized yet, he has a career 25.6% strikeout rate against southpaws.

This takes Christian Yelich off the table, particularly at a fairly high price point. Yelich also continues to limit his upside with an extremely high 59.3% high ground-ball rate, keeping his homer potential in check.
