4 Daily Fantasy Baseball Players to Avoid on 5/1/17
Julio Teheran may have a 3.38 ERA, but his peripheral stats suggest some regression is on the way. Who else should you avoid in Monday's daily fantasy baseball contests?

Tommy Joseph, 1B, Philadelphia Phillies

FanDuel Price: $2,500

The weather at Wrigley also puts the Philadelphia Phillies in play against Brett Anderson.

The price is right for Tommy Joseph, but he's marred in a terrible slump. Last season, he slugged 21 homers in 347 plate appearances, which was good for an Isolated Power (ISO) of .248. He's nowhere near that in 2017, with a .075 ISO and just three extra-base hits (one home run).

He's also striking out more often (27.8%), has a pedestrian hard-hit rate (29.2%), and is hitting the ball on the ground too much (54.2%).

But as we saw with Anthony Rendon yesterday, you never know when a player might bust out of a slump.

Joseph will more than likely also come out of it at some point, but it's a bit of a fool's errand to guess when that will be, and there's nothing to indicate he's on the verge of snapping out of it yet.
