FanDuel Price: $3,300
The Kyle Schwarber hype train has certainly slowed down following a disappointing April.
The Chicago Cubs leadoff hitter has an alarming 30.4% strikeout rate, which leaves him at 29.0% for his career. That might be more palatable with the requisite power we've come to expect, but he's slashing .196/.322/.330 with 3 home runs while his Isolated Power (ISO) sits at .134 and his hard-hit rate is at 29.0%.
It hasn't gotten any better recently, either -- he has a 37.0% strikeout rate, 20.0% hard-hit rate, and a 77.4 mph average exit velocity over the past seven days.
The Cubs have a cushy matchup with Jeremy Hellickson and his 5.34 SIERA, but it's probably best to avoid Schwarber for now, and at the very least, he shouldn't be in your cash lineups.
