4 Daily Fantasy Baseball Players to Avoid on 5/2/17
Danny Duffy and his deceptive 2.81 ERA don't make the cut in daily fantasy today. Who else should you avoid?

Wil Myers, 1B, San Diego Padres

FanDuel Price: $4,200

Tonight, Wil Myers and the San Diego Padres take on Tyler Chatwood. This is a friendly reminder that Chatwood actually isn't as bad as you think -- at least on the road.

Chatwood has the misfortune of playing home games at Coors, and as you undoubtedly know, it typically doesn't end well. In 200 career innings at Coors, he has a 5.04 ERA and 4.87 FIP.

However, he has a career 3.20 ERA and 4.00 FIP on the road, limits hard contact to just 26% of the time and keeps the ball on the ground at a 52.8% clip.

He's still not known for getting strikeouts no matter the venue, but he did have a reasonable 19.1% strikeout rate on the road in 2016 -- although it came alongside an 11.3% walk rate.

Yes, he's still no superstar, but the point remains that on a slate with better hitting environments than Petco Park, you can do better than take on this road warrior.

For his end, Myers has a .385 wOBA and 50.0% hard-hit rate this year. Those elite numbers may warrant a look as a contrarian tournament play, but at his high price point, there are more optimal places to spend.
