FanDuel Price: $7,300
Why He Will Go Overlooked:
If you like rostering the best pitcher on the planet, Clayton Kershaw is priced under $10,000 because of a road start at Coors Field. While Coors is Coors, the opportunity to load up with Kershaw at that price point may be hard for many to pass up.
Another heavily-played option may be Cy Young winner Rick Porcello, who is throwing the heck out of the ball recently. The Boston Red Sox are heavy home favorites (-170 money line) against the Tampa Bay Rays, which only adds to his appeal.
New York Yankees rookie Jordan Montgomery is one option that isn't likely to see a ton of play with only five big league starts under his belt.
Why You Should Use Him:
The rookie's pedigree is certainly a talented one -- while his 21.7% strikeout rate is good, but not great, his 13.9% swinging-strike rate shows us that more punchouts could be coming.
While Montgomery hasn't posted a ton of huge scores, he is averaging 30.2 FanDuel points per game, and that's primarily off the strength of allowing just a 22.8% hard-hit rate so far this year.
The southpaw will have his work cut out for him -- the Houston Astros have a team wOBA of .340, after all. However, Montgomery has some intriguing upside based off his recent performance and current price point.
