FanDuel Price: $2,900
Why He Will Go Overlooked:
Neil Walker finds himself in a great spot Monday evening, getting to hit at Chase Field with an opportunity to mash on Zack Godley of the Arizona Diamondbacks. With a healthy implied team total of 4.62 runs, Walker's recent string of play is sure to make him a popular choice.
A lesser-known option, however, is Joe Panik of the San Francisco Giants.
Why You Should Use Him:
Panik has been on fire as of late -- to finish the series against the Cincinnati Reds, he racked up 9.0-plus FanDuel points in each of the last two games, including a 19.2-point outing in the series finale.
Brandon McCarthy is returning from a stint on the disabled list, but has struggled throughout his career against left-handed batters. In 2016, he allowed a .321 wOBA to lefties, but only a .271 mark to righties.
Panik makes for an interesting salary relief option against a pitcher coming off an injury, with a few big factors in his favor. While AT&T Park isn't the most run-friendly environment, Panik actually seems to enjoy it -- he's posted a career 109 wRC+ at home, versus a mark of 105 on the road. He's also fared much better against right-handers (100 wRC+, .321 wOBA) than against lefties (69 wRC+, .274 wOBA) this season.
