FanDuel Price: $7,200
Why He Will Go Overlooked:
On the main slate, none of the pitchers top $10,000, but five are priced over $9,000. Of those aces, Gerrit Cole could see high ownership -- despite facing a really strong Washington Nationals offense, they currently sport one of the lowest implied team totals of the day at 3.73 runs. Cole has posted a 3.47 SIERA over 50 innings of work so far this year.
Jhoulys Chacin is one starting pitching option that probably will not see a lot of ownership -- he's put up a 4.39 SIERA over 45 1/3 innings and he faces a strong Milwaukee Brewers offense that ranks third with a .342 team wOBA.
Why You Should Use Him:
It might seem a little ridiculous to say, but Chacin at home is starting to venture into must-start territory, and he'll take another turn at Petco this evening.
Over 20 innings pitched, Chacin has fired a 0.45 ERA and allowed only a .194 wOBA, along with a 14.6% hard-hit rate.
While the Brewers are always a tough matchup, their work against left-handed pitching (.363 wOBA) is far better than against right-handed pitching (.335). Chacin will look to continue his hot streak this evening against a crew striking out 24.8% of the time.
