5 Daily Fantasy Baseball Value Plays for 5/22/17
Tyler Collins has a 42.3% hard-hit rate this season and is nice and cheap in a plus matchup against Brad Peacock of the Astros. Who else should you target for big-time daily fantasy baseball value on Monday?

Tyler Collins, OF, Detroit Tigers

FanDuel Price: $2,600

While it hasn't been showing up in his production, not a lot of guys are hitting the ball as well as Tyler Collins recently.

Among hitters with at least 10 batted balls over the past 15 days, Collins ranks 22nd in average exit velocity and 4th in average batted-ball distance. His strong contact hasn't only been a recent thing, either. His batted-ball profile this season has been outstanding, with a 42.3% hard-hit rate, 12.8% soft-hit rate and 44.2% fly-ball rate.

Lack of production has his salary this low, and hitting the ball as well as he is, his production is also likely to pick up in a big way moving forward. That leaves him offering a ton of value at this price point, especially in a matchup with Houston Astros' righty Brad Peacock. Despite an impressive start to 2017 (through a small sample of 16 1/3 innings), he has a shaky career 4.38 SIERA as well as a 4.83 xFIP against left-handed hitters.
