If you're not paying up for Kershaw tonight, Lance McCullers is another strong pitching option.

McCullers has had a good start to the year, posting a 2.94 SIERA and 27.2% strikeout rate while cutting his walk rate to 6.8%, nearly half of his 2016 clip. His 60.6% ground-ball rate and 22.5% soft-hit rate are also both the best marks of his young career.

Over his last three starts, he's only allowed an average batted-ball distance of 114 feet, the fourth-lowest mark among the 156 pitchers to have allowed 25 batted balls in that time.

The Detroit Tigers don't make for an easy matchup, sporting a 100 wRC+ against right-handed pitching, but they do afford McCullers plenty of strikeout upside, as their 22.9% strikeout rate against righties is the sixth-highest in the majors.

The Houston Astros are the day's second-biggest favorites (-210 moneyline), and numberFire's models also project McCullers as the second-highest fantasy scorer among Tuesday's pitchers, behind only Kershaw.
