FanDuel Price: $3,500
Why He Will Go Overlooked:
The Boston Red Sox currently sport the highest implied team total of the day at 5.17 runs, and they should see a high ownership rate. Mookie Betts and Andrew Benintendi are sure to be popular plays in the outfield.
Staying in the same contest, the Texas Rangers, with a 3.83 implied total, aren't likely to see much ownership.
Why You Should Use Him:
Shin-Soo Choo doesn't jump off the screen as a good play as he'll be at a lefty-lefty disadvantage against Boston starter Drew Pomeranz. But a closer look shows that there's some promise here.
So far in 2017, Pomeranz is actually getting blasted by same-sided hitters. In 36 total batters faced (so a small sample), lefties have posted a healthy .490 wOBA against him with a 52.4% hard-hit rate.
Choo has held his own against left-handed pitchers, too. In 37 plate appearances this year, he's posted a respectable wRC+ of 96 versus southpaws.
Choo's in a solid spot spot with a strong floor -- his average of 10.0 FanDuel points per game provides a strong base with the potential for a nice ceiling.
