FanDuel Price: $7,200
Why He Will Go Overlooked:
With only a four game main slate, there aren't a lot of options to choose from, but there are quite a few expensive arms at the top of the pile, including Zack Greinke, Marco Estrada, and Eduardo Rodriguez, each priced at $9,000 or more, all of whom are likely to be popular plays.
One option that may not be so obvious is Los Angeles Angels starter Alex Meyer, who's posted a 4.89 SIERA so far this season. Combined with the top-flight aces on board, and Meyer should fly under the radar a bit.
Why You Should Use Him:
Meyer takes on his old team, the Minnesota Twins, and there's a reason for some upside potential.
Despite facing a squad that ranks 11th in team wOBA (.325), the Twins make for an interesting option due to their propensity for striking out. So far in 2017, they've whiffed at a 21.7% clip.
That will play right into Meyer's hands, a pitcher adept in the strikeout department. So far in 2017, he's racked up a strikeout rate of 26.2%.
If Meyer can continue to limit hard contact (only 30.5% so far this season), he could be a sneaky option with big upside on the slate.
