The Baltimore Orioles' 5.09 implied total is the third-highest mark of the day as they take on righty Mike Pelfrey and the Chicago White Sox.

Pelfrey has an ugly 5.09 SIERA to start the year, which is on track to being his third mark above 5.00 in the last four seasons. Left-handed hitters in particular have given him a hard time, blasting Big Pelf for a 36.7% hard-hit rate and 5.32 xFIP.

Chris Davis has been making great contact recently -- he ranks 29th in average batted-ball distance over the past 15 days -- along with sporting an excellent 42.3% hard-hit rate and 50.0% fly-ball rate against right-handed pitchers this season. That contact hasn't been turning into much production, but with a .269 BABIP compared to a career .319 mark against righties, we can expect him to bounce back.

A matchup with Pelfrey is a prime spot for that to happen.
