The Texas Rangers have a healthy 5.13 implied team total against Marco Estrada, who has hit a rough patch in his last three starts with an ugly 12.08 ERA. But Estrada also had a 4.08 SIERA in that span, along with a massively unlucky .533 BABIP. The reality is he still has a 3.63 SIERA and 26.6% strikeout rate on the year, so this isn't necessarily a cupcake matchup for the Rangers.

This makes using Shin-Soo Choo especially difficult at his egregious salary. In fact, among hitters, only Bryce Harper and Joey Votto are higher. Choo is a fine player, but a .356 wOBA and .168 isolated power (ISO) isn't worthy of that price tag.

Since Estrada is a fly-ball pitcher and the weather will be hot and humid in Texas, you can still consider targeting some Rangers bats, but Choo might be the one to pass on.
