FanDuel Price: $3,100
Why He Will Go Overlooked:
If you can afford him, Aaron Judge could be in line for a monster night against the struggling Jose Quintana. Quintana's poor season is partly due to allowing a bunch of homers, and against righties, he's given up 1.45 of them per nine innings pitched. That could be a recipe for a disaster against Judge.
As good as Aaron Altherr was for the Philadelphia Phillies over the first two months, he has been absolutely ice cold so far in June. Altherr's posted a .258 batting average, .316 wOBA, and .213 ISO -- all of which are his worst monthly marks for 2017.
Why You Should Use Him:
James Paxton was absolutely brilliant before getting injured, but since he's returned, he just hasn't been the same pitcher. That's good news for Altherr.
In June against right-handed hitters, Paxton has allowed a .457 wOBA and .629 slugging percentage, which clearly plays a major role in his 9.00 ERA over 15 innings this month.
Altherr, meanwhile, has been mashing lefties. He's posted a .316 ISO against them in 2017, beasting with a 40.3% hard-hit rate and 41.9% fly-ball rate.
Combine all those factors with a date in Seattle, which ranks 12th in home run factor over the last three years, and Altherr has big upside potential.
