FanDuel Price: $2,900
Why He Will Go Overlooked:
Even though he gets to pitch in his home park (23rd in park factor), Matt Cain could be in for a lot of trouble tonight against Colorado Rockies outfielders like Charlie Blackmon. In 2017, Cain has allowed a .375 wOBA with a 34.4% hard-hit rate to left-handers, making Blackmon a tempting play.
A great find as a cheap option due to a rash of injuries for the Los Angeles Dodgers, Chris Taylor has cooled a bit lately. He's been bumped down in the order, hitting sixth recently, and his wRC+ of 94 in June is his lowest monthly mark of 2017.
Why You Should Use Him:
Even with a tough June, facing Jesse Chavez of the Los Angeles Angels could be just the right treatment to get Taylor back on track.
This season, Chavez has gotten hammered by right-handed batters. They've posted a .385 wOBA, 39.7% hard-hit rate, and 39.1% fly-ball rate against him.
Taylor doesn't have significant splits, but he has showcased his best power against right-handed pitching. While his .200 ISO off lefties is no mark to scoff at, his .205 ISO versus righties is slightly better.
If you need a cheaper outfield option, check out Taylor.
