FanDuel Price: $8,400
Why He Will Go Overlooked:
There are two massively-favored aces taking the bump tonight in Jacob deGrom and Zack Greinke, and DFS owners will have a hard time choosing between those two. Both are likely to see a lot of ownership on this reduced slate.
A medium-priced option who should see lower ownership is Drew Pomeranz. His opponent, the Toronto Blue Jays, have a pretty healthy implied team total of 4.64 runs, and he's allowed a hard-hit rate of 32.6% to batters this season.
Why You Should Use Him:
While Pomeranz will have his work cut out for him tonight, recent performances indicate he could be in line for a big evening. Pomeranz has been generating plenty of whiffs as he's posted a double-digit swinging-strike rate in four of his last five starts.
The Blue Jays, meanwhile, haven't exactly been great against lefties. On the season, they've recorded a .316 wOBA against southpaws with a healthy 21.7% strikeout rate (12th-highest).
With a two aces going tonight, Pomeranz makes for a solid tourney play given his strikeout upside and likely lower ownership.
