Daily Fantasy Baseball: Batted-Ball Positive Regression Candidates for Week 17
Carlos Gonzalez has been underwhelming all year, but recent batted-ball data says he may be about to turn around his season.

Nelson Cruz, OF, Seattle Mariners

Nelson Cruz has been known as a lefty-masher throughout his career, but lately, he has been disappointing in great matchups against some average lefties. In July, Cruz has one home run against a lefty in 16 batted-ball events. Cruz leads the MLB in average exit velocity against lefties in July with an absurd 99.9 MPH average.

Cruz will always get some ownership against southpaws, but on big slates, DFS players may be scared away due to the lack of recent results. Tonight, he will face Eduardo Rodriguez, and Cruz gets Drew Pomeranz tomorrow. Don't be afraid to target Cruz as the results could be coming for him very soon.
