FanDuel Price: $4,300
Death, taxes and not rostering right-handed hitters against Lance Lynn.
Lynn has been lights out against righties in his career, and this season is no exception.
Split | Strikeout Rate | Walk Rate | wOBA | Hard-Hit Rate | Fly-Ball Rate |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
Vs. Right-Handed Hitters | 25.8% | 5.0% | .251 | 29.4% | 35.7% |
Vs. Left-Handed Hitters | 17.0% | 11.7% | .344 | 31.9% | 42.6% |
Lynn is basically Yu Darvish against righties and Derek Holland versus lefties.
Nolan Arenado is one of baseball's best hitters, but he's much better against southpaws. Off righties this season, he owns a .336 wOBA and .812 OPS -- still pretty good -- while he's recorded a .537 wOBA and 1.305 OPS against left-handers.
Also, as you'd expect, Arenado isn't as potent away from Coors, sporting a .356 wOBA on the road, compared to a .422 clip at home.
