Mike Trout is pretty good at this baseball thing. In 20 games since returning from the disabled list, he's posted a .452 wOBA, 15.4-FanDuel-point average, and more walks (16) than strikeouts (15). With a .593 wOBA and an average of 20.7 FanDuel points, he's gotten even better since the calendar flipped to August.
Tonight, Trout will take on Dylan Bundy, whose 4.89 SIERA is the fifth-worst on this slate. Over his past eight starts, Bundy has a 6.45 ERA as well as 10 long balls allowed off the strength of a 48.1% fly-ball rate. His 5.44 xFIP during that span suggests that Bundy's struggles might not be behind him, either.
While he's been much better against right-handed batters this season, Trout has posted reverse-splits. He's elevated his hard-hit-rate from 34.3% against lefties to 42.2% against righties, while raising his wOBA from .423 to .476 and his slugging percentage from .533 to .737.
