FanDuel Price: $5,700
Why He Will Go Overlooked:
Chris Sale, a heavy favorite (-204 money line), and Corey Kluber, who's recorded a 40.4% strikeout rate since the beginning of June, both don the slate tonight and are sure to be heavily owned.
Sal Romano of the Cincinnati Reds, who's posted a 5.18 SIERA this season, isn't likely to make it on many rosters.
Why You Should Use Him:
Despite some struggles, there are a few reasons to be excited about Romano's prospects this evening.
First and foremost, he's continued to do perform well in the strikeout department, posting an 8.4% swinging-strike rate and a 20.3% strikeout rate. That'll go a long way against a San Diego Padres offense that checks in 29th in team wOBA (.300) while striking out 25.4% of the time.
With plenty of strikeout upside potential, Romano makes for a cheap pivot at the pitching spot.
