FanDuel Price: $2,600
Why He Will Go Overlooked:
Paul Goldschmidt has been hot at the dish lately. He's not only hitting .500 with 3 homers over his last 16 plate appearances, but he also gets to return to the friendly confines of Chase Field tonight. He's more than likely to be a chalky option at first.
Overlooked despite hitting in one of baseball's best offenses, Tyler White, who's been forced into duty thanks to injury, won't be too popular.
Why You Should Use Him:
The Houston Astros sport the highest implied team total of the day (5.73 runs), and that's due in large part in the matchup with Derek Holland of the Chicago White Sox. Holland has really struggled against right-handed hitters, who have torched him for a .397 wOBA, 40.4% hard-hit rate and 42.6% fly-ball rate this year.
White has only collected six plate appearances against southpaws in the big leagues this season, but he has racked up a 1.667 OPS with a 50.0% hard-hit rate against them. He's also performing well over all -- he's posted a 159 wRC+ and .345 ISO through 32 plate appearances since getting called up. And before he got promoted from Triple-A, he 127 wRC+ and .218 ISO through 408 plate appearances.
With a strong matchup on the horizon, check out White as a cheap option at first base.
