4 Under-the-Radar Daily Fantasy Baseball Plays for 8/23/17
Slumping for most of 2017, Carlos Gonzalez has picked up the pace recently and has a good opportunity to keep it up on the road. Who else makes for a solid sleeper play?

Carlos Gonzalez, OF, Colorado Rockies

FanDuel Price: $2,800

Why He Will Go Overlooked:

In only 134 plate appearances this year against left-handed pitching, Adam Duvall has rocked 10 long balls, good for a .317 ISO. Against Mike Montgomery of the Chicago Cubs tonight in the friendly confines of Great American Ballpark, he should be a very popular play.

Carlos Gonzalez has really fallen off this year, evidenced by a .297 wOBA. Outside of his natural habitat of Coors Field tonight, it'd be shocking if he gets much attention.

Why You Should Use Him:

It's been a very rough season for the Colorado Rockies outfielder, but he's shown some signs of life recently that can get us encouraged. August has been his best month of the year, which includes a .162 ISO, 35.9% hard-hit rate, and 37.7% fly-ball rate.

He also has a plus matchup against Ian Kennedy of the Kansas City Royals, who's given up way too many big flies at home to lefties -- he's allowed 2.49 homers per nine innings pitched in this particular situation in 2017.
