FanDuel Price: $3,100
Why He Will Go Overlooked:
Long known as a defensive whiz, Andrelton Simmons has been abig part of a surging Los Angeles Angels offense. With a 122 wRC+ in the second half and a matchup against Andrew Cashner of the Texas Rangers, Simmons could be a heavily-owned mid-priced option at shortstop.
Taking a step back in the power department this month with only two homers, Didi Gregorius could see lower ownership rates than he did earlier in the season.
Why You Should Use Him:
The New York Yankees have free-fallen their way out of first place, but it's not the fault of their shortstop, who seems to be coming into his own offensively.
The homers haven't been flying this month, but Gregorius has posted an .883 OPS in August with a 29.2% hard-hit rate and 43.1% fly-ball rate. He'll face Jordan Zimmermann, who has posted a lackluster 5.18 SIERA while allowing hard contact 38.7% of the time.
