FanDuel Price: $7,900
Why He Will Go Overlooked:
There are three stud pitchers who should dominate the pitching landscape this evening, those being Jacob deGrom, Zack Greinke, and Justin Verlander, all of whom are priced north of $9,500, and should be heavily owned.
J.A. Happ is going to be a bit less popular, having struggled over the second half with a 4.43 ERA in 40 2/3 innings pitched.
Why You Should Use Him:
While Happ's ERA isn't the greatest, some advanced metrics show he's been a competent pitcher. Over 101 2/3 innings pitched, Happ's logged a strong 4.11 SIERA and a 22.8% strikeout rate.
Happ's done a nice job of limiting hard contact this season, as evidence by his soft-contact rate of 20.3%, which would rank him 21st among qualified starters.
Happ also gets the added benefit of facing a Minnesota Twins team that hasn't been great against lefties. This year, they rank only 18th in team wOBA (.312).
