FanDuel Price: $2,000
Why He Will Go Overlooked:
With one of the highest implied team totals on the slate (5.56 runs), Boston Red Sox outfielder Andrew Benintendi is sure to be heavily owned, and for good reason. The young outfielder has socked his way to a .979 OPS in August and will face struggling hurler Joe Biagini (5.01 ERA in 97 innings pitched).
Missing most of this season (only 109 plate appearances) thanks to a shoulder injury suffered in a car accident, Sean Rodriguez is not likely to be a popular choice in the outfield with so many other options available.
Why You Should Use Him:
Rodriguez has shown during his career that he is typically stronger with the platoon advantage, and he will get just that by facing Jose Quintana of the Chicago Cubs tonight. Quintana has struggled for his new team -- in August, he generated a ton of strikeouts (25.3% whiff rate), but also recorded a 5.73 ERA while allowing six homers.
A good example of how Rodriguez performs against southpaws happened during the 2016 season. In 94 plate appearances with the platoon advantage, he posted a 152 wRC+ with a 50.0% hard-hit rate and 37.5% fly-ball rate.
