FanDuel Price: $2,400
Why He Will Go Overlooked:
After dealing with an elbow injury, Paul Goldschmidt returned yesterday and bopped a homer on his birthday, and he should be a chalky play at first base with a matchup against Kyle Freeland (4.84 SIERA) on tap for tonight.
With only a .311 wOBA on the year, Danny Valencia of the Seattle Mariners probably won't be at the forefront of many minds when it comes to building DFS lineups.
Why You Should Use Him:
It's been a bit of a rough season for Valencia, but he continues to specialize in attacking left-handed pitching. He gets another opportunity to do that tonight against Cole Hamels of the Texas Rangers.
Hamels has struggled in the second half with a 4.41 ERA, and right-handed bats have been an issue all year -- they have recorded a 36.1% hard-hit rate and 33.0% fly-ball rate against the southpaw.
As mentioned before, this is a situation where Valencia has excelled in 2017, evidenced by a 124 wRC+ against lefties, which also includes a 38.6% hard-hit rate and 28.4% line-drive rate.
