Start: September 23rd vs. San Francisco Giants

Hyun-Jin Ryu is living proof to the fickleness of the pitching win: he's credited with just 5 victories in 23 appearances for the NL West-leading Los Angeles Dodgers, despite toting a 3.46 ERA and career-best 22.1% strikeout rate. Part of the problem here is Ryu's tendency to get the early hook -- he's made it six full innings in just eight of his starts this season.
This might take Ryu off of the streaming radar for managers needing to maximize their chances for a win or a quality start. But frankly, there's not a whole lot else to be cautious about with Ryu's start against the Giants this week, with San Francisco's subdued power production even more hushed when facing southpaws.
Look for Ryu to lean on his excellent changeup (49.2% reach rate, 19.7% swinging-strike rate) to humble a team that's among the worst in the league at producing off that pitch. In a week full of forgettable streaming options, Ryu's name seems like one to remember.
