We've got a Coors Field game on the main slate, and that means it's not much of a surprise that the Colorado Rockies have the day's highest implied total at 5.65. That is a big 18.9% (0.89 runs) higher than any other team boasts tonight.
San Diego Padres lefty Clayton Richard generally does a great job forcing ground balls (with a 59.2% ground-ball rate in 2017), but he also gave up a ton of hard contact last year (35.0% hard-hit rate), and that's enough to make for a strong fantasy matchup when he's pitching at Coors.
Nolan Arenado absolutely throttled left-handed pitching at home last year. It was only a 74 plate appearance sample, but he posted a massive 44.3% hard-hit rate with a 34.4% fly-ball rate. At the most hitter-friendly park in the majors, that translated to an absolutely absurd .549 wOBA and .446 isolated slugging (ISO).
His numbers remain outstanding if we expand our sample size, too. In 182 plate appearances at home against lefties dating back to the start of the 2015 seasons he has a .485 wOBA and .370 ISO.
