5 MLB FanDuel Value Plays for 4/11/18
Nomar Mazara is an inexpensive way to get exposure to the Texas offense, which boasts tonight's highest implied run total. What other budget-friendly hitters should you target on Wednesday?

Wilmer Flores, 1B, New York Mets

Price: $2,200

Wilmer Flores is coming off a 2017 campaign that saw him post some really encouraging numbers against southpaws. He turned a 39.1% hard-hit rate into a .351 wOBA and .262 ISO, which were in line with his career-averages of a .349 wOBA and .244 ISO.

Miami southpaw Jarlin Garcia will be making his first big league start tonight, and the work he has done as a reliever doesn't inspire a ton of confidence. Over 63 1/3 innings to start his career, Garcia has a 4.27 SIERA and a 4.77 xFIP, allowing a particularly bad 5.62 xFIP to right-handed bats. His two games in 2018 have also been the only times he has pitched at least four innings in a major league contest, and his 10.5% walk rate and 38.5% hard-hit rate in that small sample is not encouraging.

Flores and the red-hot New York Mets have a solid 4.59 implied total here, making them one of the more appealing offenses on the main slate.
