3 MLB FanDuel Studs to Target on 4/13/18
J.D. Martinez has made an absurd amount of hard contact so far in 2018, giving him huge upside against Chris Tillman and the Orioles. What other high-priced players should be on your radar Friday night?

Carlos Correa, SS, Houston Astros

Price: $4,400

Carlos Correa has had a solid start to the year (despite his brief battle with a toe injury), and his batted-ball profile is looking a lot like last year's, with a 39.4% hard-hit rate and 15.2% soft-hit rate sitting within half a percentage-point of last year's marks. He also has a 39.4% fly-ball rate so far, which is encouraging for his home run production.

He's coming off a 2017 campaign that saw him blast southpaws for a 43.2% hard-hit rate, which translated to a massive .445 wOBA, positioning him especially well against Texas Rangers lefty Cole Hamels.

Hamels posted a career-worst 4.90 SIERA in 2017, and right-handed bats beat up on him for a .324 wOBA and 5.01 xFIP on a 37.9% hard-hit rate. The Astros' 5.07 implied total is Friday's third-highest, so this offense has a ceiling worth targeting at the top.
